Kat Rose Simon
Principle Designer

Once upon a NYC transplant, loving LA and all California has to offer! Since 2016 I have been scouring LA design resources, building great houses and great relationships, and absorbing the rich interior design culture quintessential to California.

Kat Rose Simon Design began when I left New York City, after many years apprenticed to the talented design studio Narofsky Architecture & ways2design. A new family member inspired the desire to explore and carve a path to the West.
The reward of following our dreams is an overwhelming sense of appreciation of all that life has to offer. I strive to incorporate a rich sense-of-self and happiness into all of my designs. Building is not usually easy, but with a cool team at your back anything is possible.

Tailoring our approach to each project maximizes efficiency, design integrity, and overall outcome. It is my pleasure to ensure my clients experience the utmost satisfaction in their service, process, construction and habitation of their projects.

Looking very forward!

Most recently 4,000-7,000 sf spec modern farmhouse, modern Mediterranean and homes and private homes have been at the forefront of our work. Most sell before they are completed and are not photographed! Follow us on Instagram for sneak peaks at current projects and updates.

Other experience includes renovations of apartments, multi-unit homes, commercial spaces, and new construction of many high end residences and hotels. I have facilitated architectural project management on numerous design build projects of various constructs.

Personal favorites are: 1,500-sf minimalist bungalow with a green roof and custom-built everything; 4,000 sf concrete home for an earthy family; and a 14,000 sf Silver LEED certified residence, with rain screen exterior, geothermal system and a private driving range. Fondly, my work has taken me to La Paz, Bolivia, to do immersive design with the local trades and artisans while building the ATIX hotel. Collaborations resulted in a stunning hotel, accredited as a member of Starwood’s ‘Design Hotels’, and featured on Travel + Leisure’s It List.
Furthermore, I was Senior Interior Designer and Client Liaison for Healthcare client NewYork Presbyterian Hospital engaged in numerous different projects, including public areas, private offices, VIP hospital suites and a master plan of a historic psychiatric hospital renovation.

My experience culminates to a multi-discipline designer with broad vision,
mechanical understanding, and the ability to adapt quickly to any level of project requirement.
I am always listening. Let's thoughtfully and creatively resolve all aspects of your project to meet and exceed design goals, timelines and budgets.
